God never said we wouldn’t have difficulties. Being a person of faith doesn’t exempt us from challenges and unfair situations. That’s a part of life. The scripture says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord will deliver us out of them all.” The promise is not that you won’t have difficulties. The promise is God will bring you out, not of some of them, not of most of them, but out of all of them.
There’s another world that we can’t see with our natural eyes. If God were to pull back the curtain, you would see into the invisible world, you would see all these forces that are for you: powerful, warring angels at work on your behalf, standing guard, protecting you, pushing back forces of darkness. You would see God moving the wrong people out of the way, lining up things in your favor, arranging good breaks, healing, deliverance. Don’t get discouraged by what you see with your physical eyes. Through your eyes of faith, you need to see every obstacle that’s holding you back surrounded by the Most High.
People are contagious. You’re going to catch what they have. If your friends are prejudiced, you’re going to become prejudiced. If they compromise, you’re going to compromise. If they have a limited mindset, no goals, no motivation, that narrow-minded thinking is going to rub off on you. You’re going to become like the people you continually associate with. If they’re not making you better, if they’re not inspiring you, causing you to grow, then you need to make changes.
